DEVOA - Devotion in Action
Act 3
December 25, 2012 - I woke up feeling my husbands' hands rubbing my feet after being put to sleep early in the morning of December 23rd while the doctors performed open heart surgery and grafted three arteries around the three arteries that were so blocked they caused my stressed heart to attack me during the night of December 22. Now blood was flowing freely to my heart and the third act of my life had begun.
June 2013 - Completed Cardiac Rehab. Started taking walks at the nearby park and attending a senior citizen yoga class. Yoga, goddess position, panting lion, downward facing dog, imagining myself floating outside of my body-That was the final straw. My mind rebelled at positions reducing me to just another animal. I am a child of God not just a common animal.
Labor Day - 2013 I began researching God's Word and found verses that could be applied to physical motions. Concentrating on scripture while physically strengthening my body has deepened my relationship with my heavenly father.
Rejuvenation Stretches
with God's Word
November - 2013 Completed the first draft of my stretches workout on paper. The title above reflects how I was feeling: completely rejuvenated! Shared it with my friends, too much for some, not enough for others. Continued work on the project into the new year. Stress Relief was a goal - Exercise - Breathing - Meditation - all in one simple workout!
November - 2014 Have continued working on this project while working in my husband's business. Life gets busy but I have added some new motions and scriptures and after a year of regular (well at least a couple times a week or so) workouts, I am feeling better than I have felt in at least 15 years or longer. Meditation on the scriptures has deepened my relationship with the heavenly father. That's why the name change to DEVOA.
Devotion to God in Action.
As history unfolds I want to share this precious package Father has helped me to develop. I feel that it is greatly needed. My next move is to prepare a Power Point Presentation and eventually a video. I plan to hire some young friends to be the models in the video but lack the funds to pay them.
